Blag na Scoile
Our School Blog
They may not have been at school but Senior Infants were certainly very busy during lockdown! Sophie got a lovely new puppy, Emma was on TV, lots of families got involved with our virtual sports day and Maisie even received a letter from An Taoiseach! There's been lots of lovely baking, trips to the bog, long walks, cycles, fishing, birthdays, art, learning new skills at home, science experiments, fun in the sunshine and some school work thrown in too! We may have had a shorter year together than any of us expected but we still managed to pack a lot into those few months! We were fascinated by the giant vegetables from Grandad McWalter's garden in September. We had lots of fun outside in the sunshine. We worked really well together in our groups for Ready, Set, Go Maths and Literacy Lift Off. The highlight for December was of course our Christmas play and not forgetting our trip to Gurrane to see Santa and all the animals. In January we began gymnastics lessons and learned lots of new skills. We had great fun during Aistear this year too and really enjoyed playing and working together in our groups!
